Ken Farkash

Ken is a sculptor, painter, designer, illustrator, fabricator and a thinker.
His materials; found, formed and fit together create the base structure for his dimensional creations.

His use of color creates harmony, light and the sense of emotion reminiscent of childhood and an easier time, a complex simplicity.
His subject matter ranges from simplistic studies of form and space to the complex juxtaposition of materials, color, aspect, depth, light and shadow.

Currently re emerged in abstraction and kinetics, Ken uses design elements of mid-century modern decor and modernist ideas to continue to explore the ebb and flow of the human condition. Each piece tells the story of an emotion or a memory, from visiting Las Vegas in the 1970’s to spending summers at Southern California beaches to the current political climate, his work encapsulates a more light and dynamic vision of the world.

From tiny maquettes to large scale site specific installations, Ken does not limit himself when an epiphany strikes. No matter what form it takes, the need to  create and take up as much space as possible with his art is a tangible idea.
