magicians of form and color

June 4 - July 10, 2021

June 4 - July 10, 2021

Opening Reception:
First Friday, June 4th, 6-10 PM

At Priscilla Fowler Fine Art this summer unfolds a drama whose characters are colors, materials and ideas of uncanny origin by three artists working in the abstract. Mesmers is the collection of new multimedia works by David Baird, Wade Schuster, and Doglion, showing June 4 - July 10, 2021. Opening night will be held First Friday, June 4th, 6-10 pm.

David Baird, architect and artist, orchestrates fascinating skeletal frames. From common modeling wood and pizza boxes come towering concatenations; metaphors for changes and challenges we have in constructing a post-pandemic “normal.”

Wade Schuster’s canvases stand out flat and positive, forms reaching and winding into a map of an abstracted moment in time. Enlightening even without interpretation, Schuster’s brush describes a place and point in time to be remembered intimately.

Doglion conjures liminal geometries through digital rendering, video animations softly looping through an electronic world. The glowing forms are left vibrating in the viewer's consciousness, alongside still frames available for print.

Regular gallery hours are Sunday through Wednesday, 1-5 pm and Thursday through Saturday, 12-8 pm.
